I have previously reported that one or more trees on the Hillcrest site appear to have died. About a year ago, one large’ish section of tree came down and blocked Southwood Lane and fell into a neighbouring property. Whilst I know sometimes the Council leave dead trees for insects etc, in this case if they fall they will come down on Southwood Lane, and may damage adjoining garden walls and buildings. The attached photos are not that clear but one trunk is definitely dead, another is swathed in ivy but I believe under this the trunk is dead. Please could somebody inspect and let me know if it is safe to leave them? I would be happy to meet you on site if that is of any help and to send additional photos.

On the east side of Southwood Lane there is a brick wall and at approx the point marked there is a brick pillar with a white capping stone that is damaged; various bricks have fallen out, others are broken and the mortar is loose. People have reported this to Building Control but in Feb 2020 they said they had visited and had referred it on to the Highways Dept. They gave the ref RE: Brick Pillar at N6 5SY (2017/2957) DS 2020/3374.
